Accrued vacation time is available to eligible employees and can be viewed under time & attendance dashboard. Time off request can be submitted for approval through the time off icon. Your manager will review and approve based on the needs of your department.
Health Insurance is available to full-time employees (and their eligible dependents) on the 1st of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. Eligible employees may participate in the health insurance plan subject to all terms and conditions of the agreement between Vesta and the insurance carrier.
After 90 days of employment with the company. Both full-time and part-time employees can participate as long as you are 21 years of age or older.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Vesta provides confidential access to professional counseling services for help in confronting such personal problems as alcohol dependence and other substance abuse, marital and family difficulties, financial or legal troubles, and emotional distress at NO COST. The EAP is available to all full-time employees and their immediate family members, offering problem assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to appropriate community and private services.
Vacation time off with pay is available to full-time employees who have successfully completed the 90-day probationary period. Vacation is available to provide opportunities for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits. The amount of paid vacation time employees accrue each calendar year increases with the length of their employment. During the first year of employment, employees earn 40 hours of vacation. Vacation is accrued beginning on the first day of employment at 1.67 hours per semi-monthly pay date. It is available for new employees to use at the completion of 90 days of employment. Vacation time may be used in as little as one-hour increments.
Sick days are available for eligible employees to use for illness or injury or to care for a sick family member. Eligible employees are full-time employees who have completed the 90-day probationary period.
Yes, anytime an eligible employee’s personal sick time bank is at a maximum of 120 hours, the sick leave accrual is stopped until some sick leave hours are used, and anytime the bank is below the maximum of 120 hours, the accrual rate is activated to replenish the bank.
Employees should report to work no more than five minutes prior to their scheduled starting time and stay no more than five minutes after their scheduled stop time without expressed, prior authorization from their supervisor.
If an employee is absent from work due to illness for three days or more, he/she must submit a note from a physician, or other evidence of illness to satisfy his/her supervisor as to veracity of the use of paid time off and if appropriate approval for return to work including any restrictions that may apply stating they you are able to return to duty.

Resignation is a voluntary act initiated by the employee to terminate employment with the company. Although advance notice is not required, Vesta requests at least two weeks’ written resignation notice from all employees. Employees who provide two weeks’ working notice (i.e. 14 calendar days) will be paid out any remaining vacation time. Otherwise, all earned unused vacation time is forfeited. Vacation time cannot be substituted for “notice.”
All employees are paid on a semi-monthly basis. Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the current payroll period. Paychecks are issued on the 15th and the last day of the month, except in cases where one of these dates falls on a weekend and/or holiday. In these cases, paychecks will be issued on the prior business day.
